Update on the Chamber and the Coronavirus

The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce takes great pride in taking appropriate steps to ensure the health and wellness of our Chamber members. We want to assure you that we have taken, and will continue to take, all precautions to keep the Chamber as safe as possible, in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are constantly updating our efforts.

Over the past weekend, Ben Bugajewski, Bugajewski Facility Services, generously donated services to do a deep cleaning of the Chamber offices, completely sanitizing the Chamer. We have added hand sanitizers throughout our building.

Additionally, we are preparing for remote meetings where necessary and assessing upcoming events and programs.

Please know that we have every Chamber member's well-being at the forfront of our decisions.

Coronavirus: how to keep things in perspective

The Central Bucks School District has sent out the following recommendations:

• Cover coughs or sneezes with your elbow. Do not use your hands!

• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

• If soap and water are not available, use a 60% or higher alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

• Clean surfaces frequently, including countertops, light switches, cell phones, electronic devices, remotes, and other frequently touched items.

• Stay home from work, school, and errands when you are sick to help prevent others from catching your illness. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Finally, the Chamber's Executive Committee and staff are meeting, tomorrow, with significant area leaders to stay current with Bucks County's plan and preparedness. Know that we are an integral part of the COVID-19 discussions that are occurring throughout the Bucks County Health Department, the Bucks County Hospital community and the Bucks County School District.

We will regularly update our members as we proceed in this challenging environment.
