A program of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce
The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce is once again getting ready to honor outstanding young people. We realize that there are many opportunities to honor our area youth for their scholastic and athletic achievements. However, around 30 years ago, the Chamber created an awards program that honors young people for unique acts of courage, service - even character! These awards began as the Youth Awards and have evolved to the Young Citizens
Awards.
Consider nominating a young person who has impressed with talent or a special and unusual act of compassion - maybe someone who has shown early entrepreneurial savvy or who has created a program to help others in the community.
The Young Citizens Awards recognize citizens (20 years or younger) who have been nominated for exceptional commitment to the principles of good citizenship and community involvement. It is important that the reasons for the nomination are
clearly stated in the information presented by the nominator.
Deadline: October 25, 2018. Nomination Forms can be accepted via email:

The Young Citizens Awards were created well over 30 years ago to celebrate the accomplishments of area young people. Often youths are recognized for scholastic and athletic achievement, both of which are very important. These awards, however, were created to honor those exceptional young people, who – on their own – serve others, or display unusual character, courage or citizenship.
The nominator should clearly detail the reasons for the nomination, along with the reason the applicant fits into the selected category. The nomination forms and accompanying material/essay will be reviewed by a jury of select members of the Chamber.
Please include all of the reasons the candidate should be honored as an outstanding Young Citizen. Be specific and list ALL details of exceptional service and activities that support the nomination. Please include any substantiating information, such as letters and press clippings.
