The next CEO Global Executive Briefing Luncheon of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce is on October 24, noon, at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm, 5281 York Rd, Holicong, PA 18928. The event sponsors are Hill Wallack, LLP, Fulton Bank, and VIZI.
The luncheon has been opened to the Chamber membership.
The Global Briefing features Terrance C.Z. “Terry” Egger, who is the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer, PBC. Terry Egger will be introduced by Brian Tierney, former head of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Chamber will also be hosting
Marguerite Lenfest, who will be honored for the significant contributions she, with her husband Gerry, have made to help so many organizations in Bucks County.
The Inquirer is owned by The Lenfest Institute for Journalism, the first-of-its-kind organization, founded by the late Gerry Lenfest, whose sole mission is to develop and support sustainable business models for great local
journalism.
Egger spent more than three decades in the news business as a publisher, advertising executive and marketing director. He served as the President and CEO of the Cleveland 2016 Host Committee, Inc., where he helped lead the successful effort to secure Cleveland's bid to host the 2016 Republican National Convention.
Egger serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of the News Media Alliance and on the Board of American Press Institute, Board of Directors for Medical Mutual of Ohio, the Board of Directors of FutureFuel (NYSE: FF), and the Board of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
He is a Life Director of the Board for United Way of Greater Cleveland and served as Chairman of United Way’s Board from 2010-2012.
In 2018, Editor & Publisher Magazine honored Egger with their annual “Publisher of the Year” Award. While in Cleveland he was inducted into their Business Hall of Fame, and was similarly honored into his college Athletic Hall of Fame.
