Call for Sculpture Submissions
We invite you to submit up to three examples of your work to be juried for exhibition in the 38th Annual Bucks County Sculpture Show Founded by Dr. Selma Burke sponsored by the Lomax
Companies.
The Bucks County Sculpture Show was founded in 1977 by noted sculptor Dr. Selma Burke as part of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Bucks Fever – A Celebration of the Arts program. The exhibition will be held The New Hope Winery, 6123 Lower York Road, New Hope, beginning with an opening reception on November 5, from 5-7 pm and will continue until November 22, 2015.
The Opening Reception features the music of Bobby Egan and
wine from New Hope Winery, along with Hors d'oeuvres.
The deadline for this year’s submission is September 18, 2015.
Submissions received after this date will not be eligible. Please note: If you are planning to submit your work, and if you are selected for exhibition, you must be available on Wednesday, November 4 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to
drop off your artwork and accompanying black pedestal. No sculpture can be accepted outside of this pre-scheduled delivery date and time.
The works are selected by a panel of jurors chosen each year by the Sculpture Show committee. Judging is blind. Prizes will be awarded in the amounts of $500, $300 and $100.
Although sculpture is best judged three dimensionally,
logistics dictate the submission of digital color images via
our submission webpage at www.buckscountyalive.com/sculptureshow. This online feature allows for a very efficient and effective means of submission. Prior to completing the online form, please have all your images ready for uploading in .jpg format on your computer. You may submit up to three sculptures
using up to three different views as necessary.
The images of accepted objects may be used for promotional purposes as necessary. Artists are responsible for insuring their work.
Thank you for your participation. The Bucks County Sculpture Show has grown significantly and has developed a large following. We are, however, always looking for new artists, so please forward this email invitation to any sculptors you think may have interest
in the submitting for the show.
Should you have any questions, please call Brad Sanders, Director of Marketing (x115) or Amanda Soler, Director of Operations (x111) at the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce at 215-348-3913. We look forward to another dynamic exhibition and to providing a venue for artists to share their creative work with the community.
