The Conference begins at 11:30 a.m. for a Meet the Leaders Networking Event. Lunch opens at Noon and features Brian Lobley, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and President of Independence Health Group, Parent Company of Independence Blue Cross. He will be introducing the luncheon speaker Mike Vennera, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Independence Blue Cross. He oversees
the company's information services, business transformation, and informatics divisions. He is also responsible for developing and executing the company's business technology strategy for growth as well as the company's innovation efforts. He will be speaking about INNOVATION (the theme of the Conference) and sharing strategies for attendees to incorporate innovation effectively within their own companies.
After the luncheon, a featured speaker will be John E. Jackson, a professor in the Naval War College's College of Distance Education. He teaches in the area of National Security Affairs and serves as Program Manager for the Chief of Naval Operations Professional Reading Program. A long-time proponent of emerging technology he is the author of "One Nation Under Drones," published by the United States Naval Institute.
